1 · Something happens
A strategy finds a setup. An order fills. A cap stops a trade being as big as it wanted to be. A drawdown limit is reached and everything closes. All of it is written down as it happens, whether or not anybody is looking.
The engine keeps working whether you are looking or not. When it does something you would want to know about, your phone says so. When it is just checking markets and finding nothing, it says nothing at all.
And if a message ever makes you want it all to stop, the button that stops it is in the same app you are already holding.
How it works
Four steps, and the second one is the one that matters. Getting told about everything and getting told about nothing are equally useless.
A strategy finds a setup. An order fills. A cap stops a trade being as big as it wanted to be. A drawdown limit is reached and everything closes. All of it is written down as it happens, whether or not anybody is looking.
Most of what the engine does is housekeeping. Markets scanned, nothing found, connection to the exchange refreshed. You would go mad if your phone announced all of it, so by default it says nothing about any of that.
Push to your phone, email, or a line in the app you read next time you open it. You set this per type of event, so trades can be quiet and anything touching your risk limits can wake you up at three in the morning.
If an alert makes you want everything to halt, the button that halts everything is in the same app you just read the alert in. You do not need to find a computer. That is the whole reason the phone app exists in the first release.
Why it is set up this way
Everybody has done it. An app is useful for a week, sends forty notifications, and you turn it off. Then a month later it has something urgent to say and you never find out.
A trading tool that gets silenced is worse than one with no alerts at all, because you think you are covered and you are not. So the defaults here are quiet on purpose, and the things that can reach every channel at once are limited to the ones you would actually want waking you up.
You can turn any of it up or down per type. If you want every fill on your phone, you can have it. The point is that nobody has decided that for you.
