Accessibility

This statement is from Atheron Network Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

It covers aton-network.org, in English, Canadian French, Spanish, German and Urdu.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not had the site audited by an outside body, so we do not claim full conformance; we describe below what we do and what we know is missing.

• A link to skip straight to the content on every page.
• Every page works with a keyboard, and the menu returns focus where it was when you close it.
• The animated scenes behind page titles are decorative, hidden from screen readers, and stand still when your system asks for reduced motion.
• Text is real text, not pictures of text, and every page is marked with its language, with Urdu written right to left.
• Pages are tested at phone, tablet and desktop widths, with no sideways scrolling, and titles kept within two lines.
• Form fields have labels, and problems are explained in words.
• A dark theme with high-contrast text, and links that look like links.

• The estimate PDF is generated without the tags screen readers use, so its reading order may be wrong. The same estimate is on its web page, which reads correctly.
• Some interactive demos draw live diagrams that a screen reader cannot fully describe. Each demo page explains in words what it shows.
• The human check on the booking forms is Cloudflare Turnstile, which we do not control. If it stops you, book through the support chat or by email instead.
• The support chat opens in its own window; tell us about anything in it that does not work for you.

We are working through these, and update this statement as we do.

When your project needs it, we build to WCAG 2.2 level AA and to the laws that require it, such as Ontario's AODA, and test for it. Your statement of work says which standard applies.

This statement is published in English and in French, and both versions are equally authoritative. It is also published in Spanish, German and Urdu as a courtesy, and where one of those differs, the English governs.
