Retail software

Sell everywhere, and still know your own stock.

Your customer sees one price online, another in the app and an empty shelf in the store. They do not come back. We build the systems that keep your catalogue, stock and orders in step: storefronts and apps that sell, agents that answer and bots that run your community.

// what you are up against

The problems we hear most.

01

Stock that is right somewhere else

The website, the app and the stores each hold their own count, so a sold-out item still takes orders and a store has stock the website cannot see.

02

A platform you have outgrown

Themes and plug-ins got the shop open, and now every change to checkout or the catalogue is a workaround on a workaround.

03

The same three questions, all day

Most support tickets are about order status, returns and sizing, and each one takes an agent away from the customer who needs a person.

04

Resale you cannot vouch for

Customers resell your products, counterfeits sit beside them, and nobody can tell a buyer whether an item is genuine.

Each one is hypothetical, labelled as such, and priced live from our rate card. Open any of them in the estimator and make it yours.

Headless store and shopping app

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

An apparel retailer with stores and a website runs its online shop on a theme it has outgrown, and customers keep asking for an app with their order history and in-store stock.

// What we would build

A headless storefront on your commerce platform's APIs, with an iOS and Android shopping app sharing the same catalogue, cart, accounts and loyalty, and store stock shown live so customers can reserve and collect.

// What is in it

  • Orders, payouts and fees posted to QuickBooks Online and kept in step both ways, built on the QuickBooks Online API
  • Fast product pages and search on your commerce platform's APIs
  • iOS and Android app with saved carts, order history and push notifications
  • Live stock per store, with reserve and collect
  • Checkout with cards and wallets through your payment provider, keeping PCI DSS scope with the provider
  • Bilingual catalogue and content managed by your merchandisers
  • Sales and funnel reporting by channel

Orders and returns agent

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A growing online brand's support inbox is mostly order status, returns and sizing questions, and response times stretch every time a promotion goes out.

// What we would build

An agent in chat and email that looks up the order, starts a return within your policy, answers sizing from your own size guides and hands anything unusual to a person with the history attached. It runs on a frontier model through its API, which handles high volume well and is the quickest to start; only what each answer needs is sent.

// What is in it

  • Order lookup and tracking from the commerce platform and carriers
  • Returns and exchanges started within your written policy
  • Sizing and product answers from your own guides, with sources
  • Hand-off to a person with the conversation and order attached
  • Evaluation set of real tickets, run before every change
  • Reporting on what customers ask and what the agent closed

Resale authenticity certificates

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A sneaker and streetwear label sees its products resold every day beside counterfeits, and resale buyers have no way to check that an item is genuine or who owned it before.

// What we would build

A digital certificate issued as a token on a public chain when an item is sold, bound to its NFC tag, which passes to the next owner on resale, with a web page where anyone can check an item. If you only need a genuine-or-not check and never track resale, a signed record in your own database is simpler and cheaper, and we will say so.

// What is in it

  • Certificate issued at sale and bound to the item's NFC tag
  • Customers claim it with an email sign-in or their own wallet
  • Transfer to the next owner when the item is resold
  • Public check page, with no personal data on chain
  • Smart contracts tested and independently reviewed before launch
  • Admin to revoke certificates for returns and reported thefts

Discord bot for product drops

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A brand runs limited releases through its Discord, and resellers' throwaway accounts flood the raffle while real fans miss out and moderators burn out.

// What we would build

A Discord bot that runs drop raffles with entry rules you set, links Discord accounts to store accounts, screens out duplicate and throwaway accounts and sends winners a single-use checkout link.

// What is in it

  • Raffle entry with rules by account age, roles and past purchases
  • Discord accounts linked to store accounts, one entry per customer
  • Duplicate and throwaway accounts screened before the draw
  • Winners sent a single-use checkout link with a time limit

Partner and marketplace API

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A brand sells through wholesale buyers and two marketplaces, and every one of them wants the catalogue, the stock and the order updates in its own format, by spreadsheet, on a schedule somebody has to remember.

// What we would build

One API your buyers and marketplaces call for themselves: products, prices, stock and orders, with a key and a sandbox each, webhooks when stock or an order changes, and a developer portal they can read without asking you.

// What is in it

  • Nine resources: products, variants, prices, stock, orders, shipments, returns, invoices and webhooks
  • A key and a sandbox for each buyer, with quotas so one busy partner never slows the rest
  • OAuth 2.0 with scopes for the marketplaces, API keys for smaller buyers
  • Webhooks when stock or an order changes, signed, retried and logged
  • A developer portal with the reference, guides and a status page
  • Client libraries in two languages, generated from the contract
  • Joined to your commerce platform and your ERP, so one API answers for both

// questions

What buyers in this industry ask us.

Do you build for shops outside Canada?

Yes. We are in British Columbia and build for retailers anywhere; prices are in Canadian dollars, and storefronts can sell in several currencies through your payment provider.

Do you keep our commerce platform?

We work with it in most cases. Shopify, BigCommerce, commercetools and Salesforce Commerce Cloud all have APIs we build on.

How do payments work?

A deposit to start, then payments at agreed milestones, with 10% held until 30 days after launch. The deposit is a smaller share on larger projects.

Who owns the storefront and the contracts?

You do, once the work is paid for, including the app, the bot and the smart contracts.

// where we work

Find your market.

We work from Kelowna with clients across Canada, the United States and further afield. Each market page covers working hours, hosting, the privacy law that applies, and prices in your currency.
