Retail drop bots

Discord bots for product drops and brand communities.

Brands that sell limited releases often already have a community on Discord. A bot that knows who your customers are can run the raffle fairly, keep throwaway accounts out and send the checkout link, so moderators are not doing it by hand.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

One customer, one entry

Linking Discord to the store account means a person with many Discord accounts still gets a single entry.

02

Rules you set per drop

Account age, roles and purchase history decide who may enter, and you change them per release without a developer.

03

Checkout that cannot be passed on

Winners get a single-use link tied to their store account with a time limit, so a winning entry cannot be sold.

04

Moderators get their evenings back

Announcements, restock alerts and the draw run on schedule, and moderators see a log of every entry and decision.

Discord bot for product drops

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A brand runs limited releases through its Discord, and resellers' throwaway accounts flood the raffle while real fans miss out and moderators burn out.

// What we would build

A Discord bot that runs drop raffles with entry rules you set, links Discord accounts to store accounts, screens out duplicate and throwaway accounts and sends winners a single-use checkout link.

// What is in it

  • Raffle entry with rules by account age, roles and past purchases
  • Discord accounts linked to store accounts, one entry per customer
  • Duplicate and throwaway accounts screened before the draw
  • Winners sent a single-use checkout link with a time limit
  • Drop announcements and restock alerts by role

// Stack

  • Discord API (discord.js)
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Shopify Admin API
  • DigitalOcean

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Can a drop bot keep out every reseller?

No system keeps out all of them. Linked accounts, age rules and purchase history make it harder and slower, and the log shows patterns your team can act on.

Does the bot need access to our store?

Read access to customers and orders, and permission to create checkout links. Nothing more, and the keys stay on the server.

Can we run the same drop on Telegram?

Yes. The draw logic is shared, and a Telegram front can sit beside Discord, priced as its own option.
