EPC integrations

Design, schedule, ERP and documents, joined on their APIs.

A large project runs on a dozen platforms that each do their job and do not talk to each other. We build the integrations between them, on their APIs, and the dashboards that join their data, so progress, materials and documents can be read in one place.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

3D design and materials

Integrates with Hexagon Smart 3D and SmartPlant Materials, and AVEVA E3D and ERM, through their APIs and exports.

02

Scheduling

Reads and writes Primavera P6, InEight and MS Project schedules, so progress lands against the right activities.

03

ERP

Integrates with SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards and Microsoft Dynamics for POs, receipts, costs and commitments.

04

Documents

Exchanges transmittals and registers with Aconex, Procore, SharePoint and InEight Document.

Earned-value dashboard with P6

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

Installed quantities come from the field, the schedule from Primavera P6 and costs from the ERP, so earned value is rebuilt by hand every week.

// What we would build

A progress platform that takes installed quantities from field tools, applies your rules of credit, reads the P6 schedule and ERP costs through their APIs, and shows earned value and progress against the schedule by area, discipline and contractor.

// What is in it

  • Installed quantities captured in the field or imported from contractors
  • Rules of credit by commodity, set by your project controls team
  • Primavera P6 activities and baselines read through its API
  • Costs and commitments from SAP or Oracle
  • Earned value, progress and forecasts by area, discipline and contractor
  • Reports your project controls team can schedule and share

// Stack

  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Primavera P6 API
  • SAP or Oracle APIs
  • Azure

Vendor portal with Aconex

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

Hundreds of vendors submit drawings and datasheets for review, and the review cycles, comments and overdue items are tracked in spreadsheets beside Aconex.

// What we would build

A vendor data portal that sets each purchase order's required documents, tracks every review cycle and return code, chases what is overdue and exchanges transmittals with Aconex through its API, with dashboards by package and by vendor.

// What is in it

  • A vendor document register generated from each PO's requirements
  • Review cycles with return codes, comments and due dates
  • Transmittals in and out of Aconex through its API
  • Overdue and at-risk documents by package, vendor and discipline
  • Turnover and handover packages assembled from the approved set
  • Single sign-on through your Entra ID

Laydown yard app with RFID

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

On a large mining or processing project, crews lose hours finding materials the materials system says were received, and surplus is only found at the end of the job.

// What we would build

A yard and site warehouse app on rugged Android devices that reads RFID and barcodes, works offline at the far end of the site, locates crates and large items by GPS, and keeps receiving, preservation and issue to construction in step with SmartPlant Materials and SAP through their APIs.

// What is in it

  • Receiving against POs and packing lists, with heat numbers and MTR certificates attached to each item
  • Laydown yard and warehouse locations by row and bay, found by RFID read, GPS or scan
  • Preservation schedules and inspections, with reminders and photos
  • Issue to construction against work packages, and surplus at close-out
  • Offline on site, with an edge box per remote area that syncs when the link returns
  • Integrates with SmartPlant Materials and SAP through their APIs; you supply the access

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Are you a partner of these vendors?

No. We build on their published APIs. Your firm supplies the API access and licences under its own agreements.

How long do integrations take to start?

Often longer than the build itself, because of access requests and your IT security review and vendor onboarding. The estimate shows those waits as lead times.

Where does the integration run?

In your Azure tenant behind Entra ID single sign-on, on our hosting, or on a server on site, as your IT team prefers.
