A blockchain earns its place when several parties need one record nobody can quietly change: provenance for produce and wine, certificates, or a shared ledger between partners. Where a database would do, we say so.

Provenance from orchard to shelf

Growers, packers and buyers each hold part of a product's story. A shared record lets each add their step and lets the buyer check it without a phone call.

Certificates that check themselves

Certificates, licences and tickets issued on a chain can be verified by anyone with the link, and cancelled by the issuer when they should be.

Sustainability credentials

Credentials issued by the certifying body to each farm when an audit passes, anchored on a public chain so any buyer can check that a credential is genuine, current and not revoked, without calling anyone. Only a fingerprint of the credential goes on chain, never farm data. If a single buyer is the only one asking, a signed PDF and a database do the job for less, and we will say so.
