Blockchain in Toronto

Ledgers for settlement, records and digital assets.

Finance in Toronto takes blockchain seriously and sceptically, which suits us. We build ledgers, contracts and back-office tools where several parties must agree on one record, and we tell you plainly when a database would serve you better.

// why it differs here

What matters for this work here.

01

Settlement between partners

When several firms settle with each other daily, a shared ledger gives each the same record of what was owed and paid, without one of them running it for the rest.

02

Back offices for digital assets

Custody records, reconciliation, travel-rule data and reporting for firms that hold or move digital assets, built with compliance in the room.

03

We built our own chain

We designed and built the ATON blockchain ourselves, so the advice you get comes from running one, not from reading about it.

Example projectFinance and fintech

Partner settlement ledger

A private permissioned ledger where each party runs a node and every transfer and settlement is written once and read by all, with a web console for operations staff. If one party is trusted to keep the record, a shared database is cheaper and we will say so.

// questions

What buyers here ask us.

Do we need our own blockchain?

Rarely. Most projects use contracts on an existing public chain or a small private network. We recommend the smallest thing that does the job.

Are contracts audited?

We plan an independent audit for anything that holds value, and the estimate shows its cost and the time it adds.

Do you advise on securities rules?

No. We build the software. Securities and registration questions are for your counsel and the regulators.

// next step

Tell us what you need.

A short description is enough. We reply with questions, a range and a time to talk.
