Freight dispatch apps

A dispatch board and a driver app, built for carriers.

Most transport management systems are sold to the largest fleets and configured for months. We build the dispatch board and the driver app around how your dispatchers plan and how your drivers actually work, and connect them to the TMS, ELDs and accounting you already run.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

Billing gets the proof at the drop

The driver captures the signature and photos in the app, and billing sees them as soon as the phone has a signal, not when the paperwork comes back to the yard.

02

Works in the dead zones

Stops, documents and status changes are kept on the phone and sent when it reconnects, so a drop at a rural yard is still logged.

03

Reads the trucks you already track

Position and hours come from the ELD and telematics providers you already pay for, through their APIs, with no new hardware in the cab.

04

Customers serve themselves

A tracking link per load shows status and estimated arrival, so the phone rings less and the answer matches what dispatch sees.

Dispatch board and driver app

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A regional carrier dispatches by phone and a shared spreadsheet, so customers call for status and proof of delivery reaches billing long after the drop.

// What we would build

A web dispatch board that plans and assigns loads, with an iOS and Android driver app for stops, status updates, signatures and photos, and a tracking link the customer opens instead of calling.

// What is in it

  • Load board with drag-to-assign, by driver, truck and trailer
  • Driver app with stops, navigation hand-off and offline status updates
  • Proof of delivery captured as a signature and photos at the dock
  • Customer tracking link with live position and estimated arrival
  • Position and hours of service read from your ELD and telematics provider
  • Billing notified the moment proof of delivery lands

// Stack

  • Next.js
  • React Native
  • PostgreSQL with PostGIS
  • ELD and telematics APIs
  • AWS

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Will this replace our TMS?

Not unless you want it to. Most carriers keep the TMS for rating and invoicing, and we add the board and the app where it falls short, connected through its API or its exports.

Which ELD providers can you read from?

Most major ELD and telematics providers publish an API for position and hours of service. We check yours before quoting and plan around any that do not.

Can owner-operators use the app on their own phones?

Yes. The app runs on their phones with a login you issue, shows only their own loads, and is switched off when the contract ends.
