Portable reputation

A track record sellers keep wherever they work.

A seller's track record is their most valuable asset, and today it is locked inside each platform. Issuing completed jobs and ratings as verifiable records lets sellers carry it with them. If your sellers only ever work with you, a database is simpler, and we will build that instead.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

Records sellers keep

Completed jobs and ratings issued to the seller, not held only by the platform.

02

Checkable by anyone

Buyers and other platforms check a record on a web page, without a wallet.

03

No coins involved

The records are proofs of work done. Nothing is sold, traded or paid on chain.

04

Audited before launch

The contracts are reviewed by an independent auditor before the first record is issued.

Portable seller reputation

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

Freelancers on a niche skills marketplace lose their ratings when they move between platforms, and new sellers struggle to prove their track record.

// What we would build

Completed jobs and ratings issued to sellers as verifiable records on a public chain, which they can show anywhere and which no platform can quietly delete. Buyers check a seller's record without a wallet. If your sellers only ever work on your marketplace, a database is simpler, and we will say so.

// What is in it

  • Buyers check a record without a wallet

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Why put seller reputation on a blockchain?

Only when you want sellers to carry their record beyond your marketplace. If they never leave, a database is the better choice.

Do sellers need a crypto wallet for portable reputation?

They can use one, or let us hold their records until they want a wallet. Buyers never need one.

Can a bad review be removed from a seller's record?

Your dispute rules decide what is issued. Once issued, a record can be marked withdrawn but not silently deleted.
