Mine site apps

Safety, inspection and monitoring for your crews.

Mining software suites cover the mine plan and the fleet; the gaps are the pre-start sheet, the hazard report and the logger nobody has downloaded. We build the crew app and the monitoring dashboard around your site, your equipment and your regulations, and connect them to the systems you already run.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

Made for the pit and underground

Large controls for gloved hands, high contrast for bright sun and dark headings, and every form works offline until the device reaches the site network.

02

A defect the next shift sees

A defect logged at pre-start goes to maintenance and shows on the machine for the next operator, rather than staying on a sheet in the cab.

03

Monitoring without a site visit

Loggers report to an on-site server that buffers through outages, so engineers see readings as they arrive and alerts go out when a threshold is crossed.

04

Reports nobody types

Inspection records and monitoring reports are generated from the data, in the formats your regulators and governance reviews ask for.

Pre-start and safety app

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

An open-pit mine does equipment pre-starts and hazard reports on paper, so defects found by one shift are missed by the next and supervisors cannot see the state of the fleet.

// What we would build

An iOS and Android app for operators and supervisors with pre-start checklists per machine, hazard reports with photos and take-5 assessments, working offline in the pit or underground, with a web view for maintenance and safety teams.

// What is in it

  • Equipment, spares and consumables tracked across sites with on-metal RFID tags and QR labels
  • Pre-start checklists per machine type, with critical defects flagging the machine out of service
  • Defects sent to maintenance with photos and the machine's hours
  • Hazard reports and take-5 assessments in English and French
  • Works offline and syncs on the site network
  • Fleet status board for supervisors at shift change
  • Records kept to the retention rules your safety team names

Tailings and water dashboard

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

Piezometers, inclinometers and water quality sensors around a tailings facility log readings engineers see only after someone downloads them, and reports to regulators are assembled by hand.

// What we would build

A web dashboard fed from the site's data loggers through a small on-site server, with readings shown against design thresholds, alerts to the engineer of record's team and reports generated in the format your permits call for.

// What is in it

  • Readings from piezometers, inclinometers, survey prisms and water quality sondes
  • An on-site server that collects from the loggers and buffers when the link drops
  • Thresholds per instrument, with alerts by text and email
  • Trends and plan views of the facility with each instrument placed
  • Regulatory and governance reports generated, not assembled by hand

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Can the crew app read our fleet management system?

Most fleet management systems from the major equipment and software makers offer exports or APIs for machine hours and status. We confirm yours before quoting.

Which data loggers can a monitoring dashboard read?

Campbell Scientific, RST, Geokon and most loggers that write files or speak Modbus. We check each instrument model before quoting.

Does it replace the engineer of record?

No. It gives the engineer of record and your team the data sooner. Thresholds, interpretation and decisions remain theirs.
