Shared records for custody, volumes and credits.

Energy and agriculture are full of hand-offs between companies that each keep their own numbers: volumes at a custody point, emissions credits, grain grades. A shared record can settle those once. Where a database would do, we say so.

// why it differs here

What matters for this work here.

01

Volumes everyone agrees on

When product changes hands, both sides record the volume. A shared ledger gives them one figure from the meter, so month end is a check rather than a dispute.

02

Credits that cannot be counted twice

Emissions offsets and energy certificates are only worth something if each one is retired once. A public record of issue and retirement makes that easy to prove.

03

We built our own chain

We designed and built the ATON blockchain ourselves, so the advice you get comes from running one, not from reading about it.

Custody transfer ledger

Meter readings at each custody transfer point recorded on a private permissioned ledger that the operator, the midstream company and the main partners each run a node of, with the agreed volumes passed to joint venture and royalty accounting. If one party is trusted by all, a shared database is cheaper, and we will say so.

// questions

What buyers here ask us.

Do we need our own blockchain?

Rarely. Most projects use contracts on an existing public chain or a small private network. We recommend the smallest thing that does the job.

Are contracts audited?

We plan an independent audit for anything that holds value, and the estimate shows its cost and the time it adds.

Can it connect to our existing systems?

Yes. The ledger is one part; we build the connections to your metering, accounting and reporting systems around it.

A short description is enough. We reply with questions, a range and a time to talk.
