Visitor guides

Your stories in your visitors' languages.

Visitors come from everywhere, and printed guides cover only a few languages. We build a guide that opens in a phone's browser, set up how translations are supplied and approved, and add an assistant that answers practical questions from your own texts.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

Opened from a code

Each stop opens from a code on the wall, with no app to install.

02

Translations you approve

Your interpretation team approves every text in every language before it goes live.

03

An assistant that cites

Answers come from your texts and name the page they used, and anything else goes to the front desk.

04

Audio and large text

Audio for each stop and text that grows with the visitor's phone settings.

// example projects

Priced examples for this service.

Each one is hypothetical, labelled as such, and priced live from our rate card. Open any of them in the estimator and make it yours.

Multilingual visitor guide

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A heritage site prints its visitor guide in two languages, tours in other languages need a guide on staff, and the front desk answers the same questions about hours, access and parking all day.

// What we would build

A visitor guide in a phone's browser, opened from a code at each stop, in the languages your visitors speak, with an assistant that answers from your own texts, names its source and hands anything it cannot answer to staff. Your interpretation team writes and approves every text.

// What is in it

  • Stops opened from a code on the wall, with text, images and audio
  • The guide in the languages you choose, approved by your team
  • An assistant that answers from your own texts and names its source
  • Hours, access, parking and accessibility answered the same way every time
  • Questions it cannot answer handed to the front desk
  • A set of real visitor questions, run before every change

// Stack

  • Next.js

  • Headless CMS

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Can the guide assistant invent facts about our objects?

It answers only from texts your team has approved and names its source. If the answer is not there, it says so and points to staff.

Who translates the guide texts?

Your team, or a translator you choose. We can arrange professional translation, priced in the estimator.

Does the guide work where the signal is weak?

Stops can be saved to the phone when the visitor arrives, so they open in galleries with poor signal.
