Members and accounts
One account for everything we run.
Rather than buy sign-in, we built it: an OpenID Connect provider of our own, with passkeys, authenticator codes, recovery and wallet sign-in. Every Atheron product signs people in through it, so one account opens all of them.
// what it does
- Signs people in with an email and a password, a passkey, an authenticator code or a crypto wallet.
- Gives one account to every product: the trading site, the members portal, the desktop app and the client portal.
- Runs the members portal: plans, orders, the pre-order store, exchange connections and community pages.
- Verifies identity where the law needs it, in rungs, and tells a product only what it has to know.
- Ends the provider's session when someone signs out, so the next visit really asks again.
// how we built it
- Our own OpenID Connect provider, so the account rules are ours and no third party holds the customer list.
- Wallet sign-in for EVM, Bitcoin, Solana, TON, Sui, Aptos and Cosmos, with the challenge made on the server and never in the browser.
- A wallet account has no email address, and every screen is written so it does not ask for one.
- Age and region checks before anything is offered, with the strictest rule used where a region is unknown.
- Each application reaches the database through its own login, and the portal defines community standing once for everyone.
