Insurance claims apps

A claims app for policyholders and a portal for adjusters.

The claims experience is the product most policyholders actually use. We build the app they report on and the portal your adjusters work in as one system, connected to the claims and policy systems you already run, so a file starts complete and stays visible.

// what matters here

What is different in this industry.

01

A complete file from the first report

The app asks for what your adjusters need for each type of loss, photos included, so the first call is about the claim rather than about missing information.

02

Fits your claims system

We connect to Guidewire, Duck Creek or your in-house system through their interfaces. The app and portal add a front end; they do not replace the system of record.

03

Status without a phone call

Policyholders see where their claim is, what is needed from them and when payment is issued, which cuts calls to the contact centre.

04

Fair treatment written in

Notices, timelines and complaint routes your compliance team requires are part of the flow, so fair treatment of customers is visible in the product as well as in policy.

Claims app with an adjuster portal

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

Policyholders report claims by phone and send photos by email, so adjusters start each file chasing information instead of assessing it.

// What we would build

An iOS and Android app where policyholders report a loss, add photos and follow their claim, with a web portal for adjusters that assigns files, tracks reserves and talks to the claims system.

// What is in it

  • Guided first notice of loss with photos, location and the other party's details
  • Claim status, messages and requests for documents in the app
  • An adjuster portal with assignment, notes, diary dates and reserves
  • Integration with your claims and policy administration systems
  • English and French throughout, with notices by push, text and email

// Stack

  • Next.js
  • React Native
  • PostgreSQL
  • Guidewire or claims system API
  • AWS Canada

// questions

Questions we get about this.

Can policyholders report a claim without an account?

Yes, if you want that. A guest report can be matched to the policy afterwards, which helps at the roadside; we agree the checks with your claims team.

Which claims systems can the portal connect to?

Guidewire, Duck Creek and most in-house systems with an interface. We review the interface before quoting, since it sets much of the integration work.

Can a broker or MGA brand the claims app as its own?

Yes. The app can carry the brand of the MGA or broker while the claims flow runs to the carrier's system behind it.
