Telecom software

For networks and the people who keep them up.

Your work runs on handoffs: from the network operations centre to the care queue to the truck in the driveway. We build the apps, agents and models that make those handoffs fast, and the ledgers that settle what carriers owe each other.

// what you are up against

The problems we hear most.

01

Installs dispatched by phone

Dispatchers juggle technicians by phone and text, and the job notes, photos and serial numbers come back on paper or not at all.

02

A care queue that never empties

Most contacts are the same few questions about bills, outages and moves, and they wait in line behind the calls that really need a person.

03

Alarms by the thousand

One fibre cut sets off a flood of alarms across the network, and the operations centre spends the first hour working out which ones matter.

04

Wholesale usage by spreadsheet

Roaming and wholesale records are swapped as files between carriers, and every month someone reconciles the differences by hand.

Each one is hypothetical, labelled as such, and priced live from our rate card. Open any of them in the estimator and make it yours.

Technician app with dispatch

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A regional ISP schedules installs and repairs by phone, and technicians report back by text, so the office never knows where a job stands or which modem went to which home.

// What we would build

A dispatch board for the office and an iOS and Android app for technicians, connected to the billing and provisioning systems, so a job is assigned, completed and activated without a phone call.

// What is in it

  • Dispatch board with jobs on a map, by skill, area and appointment window
  • Technician app with the job, the customer's service and the equipment to install
  • Serial numbers scanned at the install, activated through provisioning
  • Photos, signal readings and customer sign-off stored with the job
  • Works offline in basements and rural roads, syncs once back in range
  • Customer notified when the technician is on the way

Customer care agent

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A carrier's care team answers the same questions about bills, outages and moving service all day, and customers wait while the hard cases sit in the same queue.

// What we would build

A care agent in the website chat and app that answers from the carrier's own help content, checks outages and explains a bill after the customer signs in, and hands to a person with the conversation attached. It uses a frontier model through its API: the fastest start for a high-volume product where the content is public and account lookups go through tools you control.

// What is in it

  • Answers grounded in your help centre and plan terms, with links
  • Outage status by address from your network systems
  • Bill explanations after the customer signs in, with no card data in the conversation
  • Handoff to an agent with the full conversation and what was tried
  • English and French, with an evaluation set run before every change

Network alarm correlation model

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A single fault produces hundreds of alarms across the network, and the operations centre spends the first hour working out the root cause by hand.

// What we would build

A custom model trained on the carrier's own alarm history and outage tickets that groups related alarms, proposes the likely root cause and the affected customers, and shows the operations team why, served in the carrier's own cloud account.

// What is in it

  • Alarms streamed from your network management systems
  • Related alarms grouped into one incident, with the likely root cause first
  • Affected services and customers listed for the care team
  • A model trained on your own alarm and ticket history, scored on past incidents
  • Operators confirm or split groups, and their corrections feed the next training round

Inter-carrier settlement ledger

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

Several regional carriers exchange wholesale and roaming usage as monthly files, and each month their totals differ and the dispute is settled by email.

// What we would build

A private permissioned ledger the carriers each run a node of, where usage records and agreed rates are recorded as they are exchanged, with a portal that shows each carrier the same totals and flags differences while they are still small.

// What is in it

  • Usage files loaded and checked against the agreed record format
  • Each batch and its totals recorded on a private chain with a node per carrier
  • The same monthly statement for both sides, built from the shared record
  • Differences flagged per batch, with a dispute thread attached
  • Export to each carrier's billing and finance systems

Orders, provisioning and billing joined

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A regional internet provider takes orders in its billing system, emails them to the network team to provision, and updates the customer record by hand when the service is live.

// What we would build

An integration that passes new orders from billing to provisioning, tracks each step until the service is live, starts billing on the right day, and shows customer care where every order stands, using TM Forum Open APIs where your systems support them.

// What is in it

  • Orders passed from billing to provisioning automatically

Customer self-serve portal, rescued

Hypothetical. Not a client, not a result.

// The problem

A small carrier's customer portal was built on a framework that is no longer maintained; payments fail now and then, nobody dares to update it, and customers call instead of using it.

// What we would build

// questions

What buyers in this industry ask us.

Do you work with small regional carriers and ISPs?

Yes. Most of these examples suit a regional operator as well as a larger one; the estimator shows how the scope changes the range.

Can you work with our network engineers?

Yes, and we need to. They know the network; we build the software. We agree where our systems read from theirs.

How do payments work?

A deposit to start, then payments at agreed milestones, with 10% held until 30 days after launch. The deposit is a smaller share on larger projects.

Who owns the code and the models?

You do, once the work is paid for, including models trained on your network data.

// where we work

Find your market.

We work from Kelowna with clients across Canada, the United States and further afield. Each market page covers working hours, hosting, the privacy law that applies, and prices in your currency.
